From full removal to the construction of new tie-up walls made of steel and concrete.
Project Highlights:
The project included the full removal of the old timber tie-up walls all the way to the construction of new tie-up walls made of steel and concrete. The tie-up walls had to be redone at four different locations along the canal, hence the multi-year scope of the project. Nearly 34,000 m3 of earth has been excavated as part of the project. In terms of materials, the project required over 60,900 LM of H-Piles, 21,500 m3 of CIP concrete, nearly 85,000 Tonnes of granular materials, 2,619 EA of pre-cast and 3,354 Tonnes of steel. Dufferin Concrete also participated in the project, as one of the most important materials providers.
