Reputation for Quality and Safety

We are an innovative industry leader who has built a strong reputation for quality and safety. We were the first contractor to successfully implement Rapid Lift Technology in Ontario and we recently obtained the largest highway widening and rehabilitation contract ever awarded by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.

Bridges and Overpasses

As the leading authority on bridge construction in Ontario, we were selected to complete the first rapid bridge replacements in the province. We have experience in all types of bridge construction – post-tension, rigid frame, precast concrete, steel girder and tub girder. Whether it is construction, rehabilitation or replacement, we are the benchmark for any type of bridge project.

Highways and Roads

We have built many of Ontario’s most-traveled highways and interchanges, including Highway 401, 404, 407 and 410. Along the way, we have established strong relationships with key industry players, including owners, consultants and specialists allowing us to deliver the highest quality of products and solve to most difficult situations that can be presented through the course of a project.

Interchanges

Highway and interchange projects are complex, requiring knowledge and experience in diverse fields. Environmental and geographical conditions must be assessed, utility installation (water main, storm and sanitary sewers) must be stringently planned and specifications must be precise.

We use only the best construction materials (cement, concrete and aggregates), which are sourced from our sister companies. No matter the challenges, we are fully committed to meeting tight deadlines within budget, and in the safest manner possible.

Tunnels

Building tunnels is a challenge that Dufferin Construction can take on. Dufferin Construction was a very important partner in the constructions of the 10.4 kilometer tunnel below Niagara Falls. This included, blasting out and excavating a 43-meter deep, 450-meter long outlet cut where the water now comes out from flowing through the tunnel. We were involved in blasting out and excavating the inlet near the Falls, building the accelerator and a cofferdam around the inlet to keep it dry for the construction process. This was a very technical project to which Dufferin Construction was fully committed and succeeded in getting the job done.
